SHS Students win many Championship Titles

November 2, 2002 . Today, the Westchester  Fairfield Dressage Association hosted its annual awards dinner at the Danbury Holiday Inn. SHS students claimed championship titles from second level through Grand Prix.

“I was extremely pleased with the performance of the horses and students that I teach”, said trainer David Collins. “We had a great show season, and we had a lot of fun. Most of my students were competing at new levels, yet they kept their focus on good basics. It is so important to keep the horses relaxed and swinging, especially in the tense atmosphere of competition”.

Following are the results of the SHS students and horses:

Open Grand Prix Champion:               David Collins, Aujourd’hui

Open Intermediare II Champion:         David Collins, Aujourd’hui

AA Prix St. Georges Champion:         Barbara Lang Stern, Calypso

AA Fourth Level Champion:               Elizabeth Spiwack, Om Namaste

AA Fourth Level Reserve:                  Barbara Lang Stern, Calypso

Open Fourth Level Champion:            David Collins, Huzaar

AA Third Level Champion:                Kathleen Tow, Bel Canto

AA Second Level Champion:              Kathleen Tow, Bel Canto
